We had a wonderful time! The condo was very comfortable and we so look forward to returning and staying longer the next time.

We had a fantastic time being steps from the beach, strolling along the pier and our highlight...starting each morning off at Joe Momma's, such a wonderful treat. Each morning I crave a cherry vanilla scone, fresh squeezed o.k., and a tan line! How we didn't gain weight on vacation is a mystery; must be the beautiful walks on the beach!

Our stay was wonderful! We loved the view and especially how flexible your staff was! I really appreciated how they let us check in a little bit early and when we were checking out, they told us to let them know if we needed more time. What especially stood out was one of your employees offered to give us a parking space even though she would have had to move her car more than a few blocks away. We also LOVED the breakfast! The o.j., the coffee, and all of the wonderful pastries.

My daughter and I stayed there the night before her wedding. When we got up in the morning, it was incredible to be right in front of the ocean, and to have your wonderful coffee and pastries for breakfast. Just don't ask us how many we ate, we are embarrassed about that part!
After breakfast, the bridesmaids joined us for the hair and makeup party. What a fun morning, sitting in the sunshine, with the ocean breezes coming through the windows!
After the wedding, my daughter and her new husband went back to the condo for their honeymoon night. They got to watch the Avila fireworks that evening, and then enjoy a wonderful seaside breakfast.
Thanks Joe Momma's for an incredible spot with great service, wonderful food, and all at such a good price! We love you, and we will be back!

We had a great time at this B & B.. It is more like an apartment than a hotel. The 1 bedroom unit was spacious and clean and the view was outstanding. You can see the ocean from the little patio outside the living room. We took our sister, who was visiting from Colorado, there for a little one night getaway, and it was the perfect "beach fix" that she was looking for. The coffee shop is great and morning coffee and pastries were part of our room charge. The town has a couple of nice wine tasting rooms and a decent restaurant. We had a problem with the living room futon, and the manager graciously refunded some of our money for our troubles. We will stay there again.

We stayed for 3 days this summer. The staff was super friendly and the coffee was excellent. Nothing to complain about. Fresh cinnamon rolls every morning were great, and complimentary coffee (anything you like) all day long. Apartment was very clean and pleanty of extra towels and bedding. Great value. Can't get any closer to the beach. We took our kayaks with us and found parking to be a challenge during the day, but the evening opened up to pleanty of spaces right in front of our room door. We will deffinitely return.

I can't say enough good things about Joe Momma's. At first I was a bit hesitant about the place, once we got there we knew we didn't want to leave. My husband and I (and our dog Lucy) stayed in apartment C. It had a great view of the ocean -- we left the slider open at night to hear the waves crashing.
The morning coffee and pastries at the coffee shop were the best. Without a doubt, the BEST scones I've ever had. Bonnie and the other Baristas were super friendly. We were able to sit outside and read and watch the ocean. Even if you don't stay at the B and B I strongly suggest eating there in the morning.
The people of Avila and other tourist were all equally friendly, which all added to our wonderful time.
The location is perfect...it's literally right across the street from the beach. The beach itself is awesome -- it's peaceful, CLEAN, not overly crowded. Lots of bees though. :(
The apartment was well appointed and had basically everything we needed.
Here are the negatives: The pillows weren't the best -- if you can bring your own. There were dirty sheets and towels left in the washer and dryer. There are no screens on the windows or sliders. We couldn't get wifi in our room -- had to go downstairs to do that. All of these negatives didn't hamper our stay at all though.
We were truly sad to leave. I can't wait to go back.

First thing my wife said as we walked in apartment E, "Gosh, I could live here." Apartment E is on the 2nd floor, one flight of stairs up.
Full kitchen with new appliances, pots, pans, utensils, toaster, etc.
Great leather couch, flat screen TV, digital cable, DVD player.
Nice, large, new bathroom.
Tiled floors everywhere. Nice bed, could have been a bit larger, think it was a double. Would have liked a queen. Balcony, with 2 BBQ grills and a table and 4 chairs, that faces the side street (Jo Mommas is on the corner of Front St. and San Luis St.), but you get a great view of the ocean nonetheless.
Washer and dryer located in the bathroom. This was a great help. We came from Ohio and did not have to pack as many clothes because of the washer and dryer.
Free breakfast downstairs. GREAT pastries, fresh squeezed orange juice, coffee. As much as you want, just clean your plate. This was a great deal.
Other niceities: beach chair, PLENTY of beach and bathroom towels,
We moved to apartment 29 the last day. It is on the ground floor, has a nicer L-shaped dark red leahter sectional. The bed is bigger also, but it has no balcony like apartment E. Everything else is just as nice.
This place is owned by the same people who own the Inn at Avila Beach, just down the street.
Joe Mommas is more modern and up to date, but there is no maid service, which I like. I don't need anyone to make my bed, etc.
The only thing we thought the place needed was a chest of drawers for our clothes. We had to live out of the luggage which was a bit of a pain.
